"Mike Linstrom" was a well known artist and painting mentor in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.  In the course of his lengthy painting career he sold to collectors in many countries as well as throughout the United States.   He developed his own unique style of painting that was gestural, energetic and interpretive.  He had a special ability to put colors together in a striking and beautiful way.   His wisdom, gentle nature and undying enthusiasm for art combined to make Michael a delightful teacher.  A comedian at times,  he would mesmerize his workshop students with masterful painting demonstrations.   He pointed proudly to scores of artists with widely varying styles and mediums that he was able to guide to a professional level of painting.
